How can I follow Arneson's abductor through the garden gates?

  • 1 of 14: Have you tried walking through the gates to see what happens?
  • 2 of 14: Those mosquitoes are too much! You'll have to find some sort of repellent to use before you can go that way.
  • 3 of 14: There's a book on the shelf in the house's master bedroom that says lemon can be used as a repellent.
  • 4 of 14: And there's a lemon tree on the small balcony that connects the master bedroom to the trophy room.
  • 5 of 14: However, you won't be able to make any repellent until you get a certain item from the secret room.
  • 6 of 14: What you need is the paper from the center of the secret room's desk.
  • 7 of 14: When you take it, Holmes will say to go find Watson, so return to the stable and talk to Watson.
  • 8 of 14: After a long string of cut-scenes, you and Watson will be standing near the garden gates.
  • 9 of 14: If you haven't tried to go through the gates yet, do so now to get Holmes to notice the mosquitoes.
  • 10 of 14: Now you can go back to the trophy room and click on the lemon tree to get a lemon.
  • 11 of 14: Return to the garden gates and use the lemon on Watson to get both of you covered in mosquito-repelling lemon juice.
  • 12 of 14: You can now go past the gates and on down the garden path.
  • 13 of 14: Click on the large blood stain on the path when you come to it, then continue on to the small pier.
  • 14 of 14: Click on the interactive bit of rope on the end of the pier to learn that Arneson and his abductor headed for the swamp.
