Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Hints
Small Lump
of 16: Start by examining this item in the microscope.
of 16: Click on the small lump in inventory, then close inventory and click the gear icon on the microscope.
of 16: Try using the two tools (bottom left corner of the screen) on the lump.
of 16: The scalpel is the tool you need first.
of 16: Select it, then click on the lump to cut it open.
of 16: Several small granules fell out of the lump, so use the tweezers to pick some up.
of 16: Exit the microscope view and check your inventory to find that you now have a "Compounds from Maori's Lump" item.
of 16: Click on it to select it, then exit inventory and click on the chemical analyzer that's over on the left side of the table.
of 16: Now you need to use the right chemical with the chemical analyzer in order to analyze the compound.
of 16: Look between the chemical analyzer and the microscope to find four small bottles that you can take.
of 16: After picking them all up, look through them in inventory to see what might help in the current situation.
of 16: The acid is what you need, so click on it in inventory, then exit inventory and click on the chemical analyzer.
of 16: Holmes will then suggest applying heat, so that'll be your next step.
of 16: The matches you were forced to pick up earlier should do the job.
of 16: Choose them in inventory, then click on the chemical analyzer to start a lengthy (and noisy) process.
of 16: After it's over, you'll have an "Opium Sample" report.
