Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Hints
How can I go down one of the holes in the area past the gate?
1 of 13: As before, you'll need a rope to climb down.
2 of 13: But there are no ropes around! What could you use instead?
3 of 13: How about that bright red leather belt you put in the gate-opening machine?
4 of 13: Its job is done, so there should be no problem with reclaiming the red belt.
5 of 13: However, you won't be able to tie it to anything and descend just yet.
6 of 13: You'll first need to figure out which hole to climb down.
7 of 13: To do that, light each one up so that Holmes can see what's below.
8 of 13: Go up to a hole and use your lit torch with it.
9 of 13: If Holmes says "Nothing!" after the torch falls, you'll have to make another torch and try it on another hole.
10 of 13: Or you could walk around and look down holes yourself to see which one looks promising.
11 of 13: If you look down the hole that's in the back right corner of the area, you'll see a passage leading off a ways down.
12 of 13: Toss a lit torch down there so Holmes will see it, too, then look for a spot to tie your leather belt to.
13 of 13: The large boulder in the center of the area will work, so use the belt on it to descend.
