Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Hints

After dropping into a watery cave, I found a large iron door in a side area.

  • 1 of 11: Have you tried walking right up to the door and then looking down?
  • 2 of 11: When you walk onto the pressure plate that has the shoeprint on it, Holmes will comment that only a person with a wooden leg should open the door.
  • 3 of 11: That's because the other pressure plate has a small circular indentation for the tip of a wooden leg.
  • 4 of 11: So look around for a spare wooden leg.
  • 5 of 11: Go back to the cave with the shallow water in it.
  • 6 of 11: As you enter it, turn right and go straight forward.
  • 7 of 11: You'll come to a large rock with a wooden leg wedged in against it on its right side.
  • 8 of 11: Take the wooden leg and return to the iron door.
  • 9 of 11: Move onto the shoeprint pressure plate to get Holmes to comment on it again.
  • 10 of 11: Then turn and use the wooden leg on the other pressure plate. (You may have to move toward it just a little before you can do this.)
  • 11 of 11: After the wooden leg is placed, the door will open, revealing old MacGrinty's treasure room. Ahrrrrr, matey, and all that rot!
