Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Hints
How can I defeat Rochester and his zombified goons?
of 15: Notice what you're standing next to when you regain control.
of 15: It's the lighthouse gimmick. What do you think you need to do with it to foil Rochester's evil plan?
of 15: If you don't know, go back down the stairs to where a desk is setting against the wall.
of 15: Click on the book that's on the desk to take the "Directive of the Sect" document.
of 15: It appears that their plan is to turn the light off, so your plan must therefore be to ramp it up to full intensity.
of 15: To do that, you'll need to fiddle with the green and blue bottles that you can see on two sides of the light's base.
of 15: If you look up and check the light, you'll see that it's all green with no blue mixed in.
of 15: Examining the devices that the two bottles are connected to, you'll see that the one with the blue bottle on it doesn't seem to be working. (There's no blue-colored liquid in the tube.)
of 15: Maybe the light would be brighter if you switched the blue and green bottles. It would at least be all blue then, which is something the cultists apparently don't want.
of 15: In order to remove a bottle from its mechanism, you have to put another bottle in the bottom part of the mechanism (below the wheel), turn the wheel, and then take the bottle that ends up on the bottom.
of 15: Look down on the floor near the green bottle's mechanism to find a spare empty bottle that you can take.
of 15: If you try using it to take the green bottle, the game won't let you. So instead use it to take the blue bottle.
of 15: Put the empty bottle in under the blue bottle, use the wheel, then take the blue bottle.
of 15: Now put the blue bottle in the slot under the green bottle and turn its wheel.
of 15: That will turn the light blue, which fixes everything. All you have to do from then on is watch the ending cut-scenes.
