Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Hints

How does this puzzle work?

  • 1 of 8: You need to rearrange all of the numbered pieces in 1 to 10 order (left to right).
  • 2 of 8: The only number piece you can move at any time is the right-most one.
  • 3 of 8: You can drag it to any of the two rows above the center row or below it, and then drop it to place it there.
  • 4 of 8: However, note that the top and bottom rows can only contain one number at a time.
  • 5 of 8: As for the other two rows, they can hold more than one number at once, but the numbers have to be consecutive.
  • 6 of 8: For instance, if you started by dragging the 10 down to the row below the center row, you couldn't then drop the 3 down there since it's not consecutive to 10. However, if you drop the 3 somewhere else, you can then move the 9 down next to the 10 (since it is consecutive to 10).
  • 7 of 8: It is possible to get stuck to where you can't move any more numbers out of the center row. When that happens, you can either work with what you've got (moving some numbers back to the center row and rearranging others), or you can right-click to exit and reset the puzzle.
  • 8 of 8: Your goal is to move every number piece except for the 1 piece out of the center row. Once you accomplish that, it'll be very easy to move all of the number pieces back into the center row in 1 to 10 order.
