Quest 3: The Artifacts

  • 1 of 20: You get this quest from Alatos "Ravenscar" Thuibuld. You should wait until after finishing Narlan's two quests before trying this one.
  • 2 of 20: Alatos is the leader of the guild.
  • 3 of 20: Talk to him to find out that he wants you to lift three items of magical power from the daughters of a mage named Shaladar.
  • 4 of 20: They are in a house in the central section.
  • 5 of 20: The entrance is at (33414,721).
  • 6 of 20: Enter with only a thief.
  • 7 of 20: Do not have your weapons ready and talk to the women waiting the main hallway.
  • 8 of 20: Tell her you are applying for the servant job.
  • 9 of 20: Tell her you have served in a palace.
  • 10 of 20: When she asks which one, tell her Waterdeep.
  • 11 of 20: Go up to the second floor.
  • 12 of 20: Hide in shadows and go up to the third.
  • 13 of 20: Quickly run into the room on the right.
  • 14 of 20: Check the vanity at (343,467).
  • 15 of 20: There are the three items -- a statue, a stone, and a spellbook.
  • 16 of 20: You have to fight the daughters if they see you, and if you kill them then it is a massive -10 hit to your reputation.
  • 17 of 20: Make your way back to the guild and talk to Alatos "Ravenscar" Thuibuld again.
  • 18 of 20: Now the mage Resar will attack you.
  • 19 of 20: If you did Narlan's two quests first, then Narlan will intercede and kill Resar before he can even get off a spell.
  • 20 of 20: Talk to Alatos "Ravenscar" Thuibuld again and you have completed the thief quests.
