Baldur's Gate Hints

The Iron Throne

  • 1 of 30: After completing the second quest, Scar will want you to meet him right outside the doorway of the Flaming Fist barracks.
  • 2 of 30: Talk to Scar, and he will take you to talk to Duke Elton.
  • 3 of 30: He will tell you he wants you to infiltrate the Iron Throne and find out what is going on.
  • 4 of 30: The Iron Throne is in the Southern section.
  • 5 of 30: On the first floor you will be approached by a guard.
  • 6 of 30: You need to bluff past him.
  • 7 of 30: Tell him you are from Sembia.
  • 8 of 30: Now go up the stairs.
  • 9 of 30: On the second floor you will be approached by the guard Dra'tan.
  • 10 of 30: Bluff past him by acting like you are uneasy too.
  • 11 of 30: On the third floor you will be approached by another guard.
  • 12 of 30: Tell him you are from Sembia again.
  • 13 of 30: Look around to find Nortuary from Sembia.
  • 14 of 30: Tell her what you know and you will learn some interesting things.
  • 15 of 30: You will also find Emissary Tar.
  • 16 of 30: No matter what you say, she will go upstairs.
  • 17 of 30: On the fourth floor you will be approached by the accountant Destus Burn.
  • 18 of 30: He thinks you are the emissary and will tell you the meeting agenda.
  • 19 of 30: On the final floor is a huge fight. This one is really tough.
  • 20 of 30: The floor contains Aerim, Diyad, Gardush, Naoman, Adai, and the leader Zhalimar Cloudwulfe.
  • 21 of 30: Rush the mages and cast as many summoning spells as you can.
  • 22 of 30: Cast a lot of charms, paralyze, and acid arrow spells.
  • 23 of 30: Finally they will go down, and you can check them for their good stuff.
  • 24 of 30: Now check the back rooms to find a dead Emissary Tar and Thaldorn.
  • 25 of 30: Thaldorn is one of the three leaders of the Iron Throne. He will tell you where the other two leaders went -- Candlekeep.
  • 26 of 30: Check the desk at (1115,713).
  • 27 of 30: Take and read the letters.
  • 28 of 30: Exit the building.
  • 29 of 30: Caedmon will approach you and tell you Elton wants to see you.
  • 30 of 30: Enter the Flaming Fist and go up the stairs in the center room. Talk to Elton to end the quest and the Chapter.
