How do I solve Gear Shift Puzzle?
1 of 11: The objective of the gear shift puzzle is to open all the bars by correctly moving the knob in the center.
2 of 11: Grab the knob and drag it in the direction you want it to go.
3 of 11: Again, no clues are given in the game. There are probably many ways to solve it.
4 of 11: I have included both a Text Solution and Graphic Solution To The Gear Shift Puzzle. The text version is contained in the next hints. You may want to use them together.
5 of 11: The knob in the center can move around the four distinct squares. Label these squares left to right: A and B (top row) and C and D (bottom row). Movements start at the center and return to center.
6 of 11: Go counterclockwise around D (move down, right, up, and left)
7 of 11: Go counterclockwise around C (left, down, right, up)
8 of 11: Go counterclockwise around B and A (right, up, all the way over to the left, down, right)
9 of 11: Go clockwise around A (left, up, right, down)
10 of 11: Go counterclockwise around B and A again (right, up, all the way over to the left, down, right)
