How do I figure out the code?

  • 1 of 12: The ID# starts with the initials of the driver and ends with a number for the week of the year following the number for the day of the week.
  • 2 of 12: The client's initials immediately precede the numbers for the day and week.
  • 3 of 12: Following the driver's initials is the Zone code for the point of origin.
  • 4 of 12: Looking at the log, you see from other ID#s that Union Station is in Zone I.
  • 5 of 12: You know the first part of the ID# already:  SO (Steve O.); I (Zone); AKP (Client's initials)
  • 6 of 12: The day of the week and the week of the year must be determined.
  • 7 of 12: On January 6th, Mary Smith's package ID# ends in the numbers 1 2.
  • 8 of 12: The number 1 represents the first day of the week.
  • 9 of 12: The number 2 represents the second week of the year.
  • 10 of 12: The first day of the week is always Monday.
  • 11 of 12: Winslow's package was handled on Friday, January 10, of the same week.
  • 12 of 12: His chest was assigned ID#  S O I AKP 5 2.
