How do I solve the Table Puzzle?
of 9: There is a chain hanging from the ceiling above the table. Pull the chain to turn on the lights and start the puzzle. Press F1 for basic information on how the puzzle pieces work. Open the shield panels in the correct order. It might help to look at the Case File in inventory again. It contains a good picture of the shields.
of 9: While looking at the table, click on the piece in the very center. Where have you seen "gifts" mentioned before?
of 9: Look at Helen's notes in your inventory and find the statement about gifts.
of 9: Line 22 matches what is written in the center of the table: "Each Gift To Him Is Now Devoted."
of 9: Now look at the Parchment Sheets for Line 22 to see the runes that Helen translated. The colon ( : ) mark separates each word. Also notice that "ch" only requires one rune and that the "F" and "V" are used interchangeably, as are the letters "A" and "T".
of 9: There are 12 shields. There are 24 letters ("ch" counting as only one) in the sentence. Each shield has 2 runes etched underneath it on the table top.
of 9: I found it helpful to write down a basic description of each shield and draw the runes associated with each from the table. Line 22 is easy to copy, drawing a dividing line between each set of 2 runes. Here is a Picture of Line 22 with the runes divided and translated.
of 9: Open up the panels so that the runes read what is written in Line 22. The last panel will open by itself once the correct sequence is completed.
