Beyond Time Hints
Is there any use for the obelisk by the main gate?
1 of 13: Eventually.
2 of 13: If you leave the obelisk until later, its purpose will become clearer.
3 of 13: The markings on the four sides are all encompassing.
4 of 13: One of the Priestess' video clips gives you directions that pertain to the obelisk.
5 of 13: Check the online Help for assistance with the hieroglyphics.
6 of 13: The column is a "compass", indicating North, South, East, and West.
7 of 13: Part of the obelisk is movable.
8 of 13: One part of the 4-sided top is marked with an ankh.
9 of 13: East is an important direction, based on the Priestess' comments, as well as where you want to go next.
10 of 13: You will eventually need to align the ankh symbol with the East side of the column; however, by itself, that will not accomplish anything.
11 of 13: You will need to find other obelisks on the West Bank, and do the same with all of them.
12 of 13: The other three obelisks are in The Dark Way.
