How do I kill the cowled wizard?
  • 1 of 9: Edwin (while muttering) tells you to kill a cowled wizard who irritates him.
  • 2 of 9: His house is in the docks too.
  • 3 of 9: It's the grey one in the northwest -- the door will be open.
  • 4 of 9: The first floor has a lot of Mephits.  Kill them.
  • 5 of 9: The next room has two clay golems.  Either destroy them (which is hard, because you MUST use bashing weapons) or sneak past them with Improved Invisibility or by hiding in shadows.  BRING A MAGE.
  • 6 of 9: The wizard in the next room has many irritating protection spells.
  • 7 of 9: You will get sick of this eventually.
  • 8 of 9: Cast Breach on his protections and go in with your fighters, or use a wand on him while invisible and cast Cloudkill to finish him.
  • 9 of 9: You get lots of XP and some fun items and scrolls.  Go back to Edwin, who (muttering, of course) sends you on another quest.
