Overall: Minsc is probably either the best or the second best fighter in the game. He is the strongest of any of your possible companions and he's very good using a two-handed sword, especially if you give him proficiency slots in Two Handed Weapon Fighting. He's also very amusing to have around, since he initiates some really hilarious dialogues. Just make sure not to have him be your leader, and you'll be fine with him as a front-line fighter. In addition to all this, he also has ranger abilities and priest spells (eventually), which make him very useful. He can go berserk at will, or sometimes he will go berserk if certain events happen.
