1 of 4: Well, if you picked up Yoshimo, he'll tell you about how the portals make the mephits.
2 of 4: So destroy the portals!
3 of 4: Once you destroy a portal, it will stop one type of mephit from being spawned.
4 of 4: There are four portals. Destroy them all (attack them like an enemy), and then deal with the remaining mephits.
