    Overall: Valygar is an extremely solid character.  He might have been better as an Archer, since he has high DEX, but he's pretty damn good as is.  His ability to eventually cast Haste is a nice plus too.  He comes with some pretty cool items, like a +2 Katana that deals out poison ("bleeding") damage and some very good armor, which gives him hefty resistances.
