How do I rescue Phaere?

  • 1 of 10: After Solaufein first tells you to go to the entrance plaza, go there and talk to him.
  • 2 of 10: A handmaiden will tell you that Phaere, the daughter of the head of one of the major houses, has been captured by mind eaters.
  • 3 of 10: He then asks you what you think they are.
  • 4 of 10: You can say different things depending on your intelligence.
  • 5 of 10: If you have an intelligence of more than 15, you can say "Illithids" to make Solaufein like you more.
  • 6 of 10: With less INT, you can say "Mind Flayers" and his opinion of you will not change.
  • 7 of 10: Return to the caves and kill anything in your way, and head to the far south-east.
  • 8 of 10: After a little while, Solaufein will pull the illithids out of astral travel.
  • 9 of 10: Kill them, and DON'T harm Solaufein or Phaere.
  • 10 of 10: Once you kill the illithids, Phaere will leave, and Solaufein will follow her.
