How do I win the final battle?
1 of 24: Finally, here we have it, the LAST battle of the game, and it is without a doubt, the hardest.
2 of 24: Irenicus will immediately turn into a slayer, which is weaker in attack than yours, but which also regenerates faster than a greater wolfwere and has tons of HP (about 250).
3 of 24: First, he will summon a couple of balors and galbrezu.
4 of 24: Deal with them first. If you're lucky, casting a Protection from Evil 10 Foot Radius will cause them not to attack you.
5 of 24: Once they're dead, get rid of all Irenicus' defenses and attack him until he disappears.
6 of 24: Then heal up, and go down to the southern section of the room.
7 of 24: Irenicus is now fully regenerated, but he's probably out of spells by now, fortunately.
8 of 24: Now it's just you and him.
9 of 24: So it's time to whip out the BIG guns.
10 of 24: Rangers: This is a good time to use that useful old Moondog figurine.
11 of 24: Be sure to cast Improved Haste on your fighters; you need to be able to attack FAST.
12 of 24: Use all your non-demon summoning spells, then cast Protection from Evil 10 Foot Radius and cast a Gate.
13 of 24: Then cast a Protection from Evil on the pit fiend and cast another Gate! You need as many people attacking as you can get!
14 of 24: Fortunately, Irenicus isn't COMPLETELY resistant to magic, so offensive spells have a chance of hurting him, albeit a very small one.
15 of 24: Irenicus will probably turn his attention to the summoned monsters, so now's your chance!
16 of 24: Run in with your (hopefully) hasted fighters and beat on him.
17 of 24: Unfortunately, he regenerates too fast for you to beat him with your normal attacks.
18 of 24: So there's only one answer...
19 of 24: Once you're able to get his hit point status to Injured (not easy), have your main character become The Slayer.
20 of 24: The Slayer seemed (for me at least) to always hit Irenicus. If you become The Slayer when Irenicus is at injured HP status, you should be able to kill him before you lose control.
21 of 24: If you start losing control, just turn back, and hope to get a couple more hits in, since he's probably just about dead by then.
22 of 24: Once he goes down, sit back, and watch a scene with Ellesime giving honors to your party and such.
23 of 24: Then watch the extemely gratifying end movie.
24 of 24: Congratulations! You've won! From the looks of the end movie, however, your work is not over yet... (of course)
