How do I find Lazarus' spellbook?
1 of 11: If you ask him, he'll tell you that the only clue he has is a set of small muddy footprints leading off behind his house.
2 of 11: So, leave his house, and go behind it.
3 of 11: There's a kid there named Squid. Talk to him, and offer him 5 gold instead of 1000, and he'll spill the beans.
4 of 11: The man that Squid points you to is in the bar, near the back.
5 of 11: Talk to him, and he'll admit to having the spellbook if you bring up the kid.
6 of 11: He'll tell you that he'll exchange it for a scroll of teleport to try to leave the city.
7 of 11: Go back to Lazarus, and he'll give you the scroll, but he warns you that it would be fatal to use it.
8 of 11: Give it to the man in the bar, and you'll get the spellbook.
9 of 11: Now you can either be nice and tell him it will kill him, or just let him die -- your choice.
10 of 11: Either way, go bring the spellbook back to Lazarus, and you'll be able to buy pretty much any spell scroll in the game, not bad.
11 of 11: You might also want to pick up a ring of fire resistance for augmenting an item later.
