General Combat Tips
1 of 5: First of all, you should know that there's a LOT of combat in this game, and there are very few easy fights.
2 of 5: Due to the fairly high difficulty of the combat, be sure that you don't hold back. Use wands and potions when necessary -- there's no shortage of them.
3 of 5: A nice balancing factor is the fact that your characters get some very nice combat abilities and new spells. Be sure to have a cleric in your party. They get some killer new spells, as do wizards, but I was personally more impressed by clerics in this game.
4 of 5: The new fighter powers are incredibly useful and should be used frequently in difficult combats.
5 of 5: Finally, even more so in this game than in the original BG2, monsters and mages have really annoying magical protections. Be sure to have plenty of protection-downing spells in your mage's repertoire.
