Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal Hints
How can I put together the Scepter of Radiance?
of 16: To put the scepter together, you need to find 3 red "Scepter Gems."
of 16: Two of them can be found on demons in the maze.
of 16: One, which you should go to first, can be found by going west three times, starting from the Compass Room that you began in.
of 16: You will meet Tahazzar, a Ta'Narii, who will attack you after a short dialogue.
of 16: Kill him and everyone else who attacks you, and take his heart and the gem from his body.
of 16: To find the other demon, go south from Tahazzar, and then south two more times, past a group of Succubus who offer to help you. (Refuse them, it's not worth a level drain.)
of 16: You will find Ka'rashur, a black demon.
of 16: He will ask you if you're willing to kill the Ta'Narii leader for him.
of 16: It's in your best interest to agree, because these guys are tough. If you already killed Tahazzar, tell Ka'rashur, and he'll give you the second portal Gem.
of 16: To get the third one, you must reach the exit.
of 16: Once you reach the caves, you will be confronted by a Cambion, who will propose a game.
of 16: It's almost better to just attack him now ... you very rarely win at his game, and he doesn't even have most of the things you're betting for on him anyway.
of 16: If you bet the way out and lose, he'll leave and then return the completed scepter to you. This is the easy way.
of 16: If you lose twice at the game (which you will, if you play) he will demand you wager the way out. If you don't want him to go, fight him.
of 16: Once he's dead, take the gem off his body, and the scepter will reform.
of 16: Now you can just use the portal to the right of where the Cambion is to descend to the third level.
