How do I activate the portal down?

  • 1 of 6: You have to get Carston out from behind that glass cage of his so you can use the machine.
  • 2 of 6: Once he's out, he'll give you his journal if you spare him, or you can kill him and get it off his body.
  • 3 of 6: Read the journal.
  • 4 of 6: It will tell you to push the Triangle Button, turn the Red Dial, and pull the Medium Lever, to activate the portal.
  • 5 of 6: Use the machine, and enter those controls, in that order.
  • 6 of 6: The machine will activate the portal for you.
