Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal Hints
The First Challenge
of 10: Sarevok opens this room when you first talk to him. It's advisable to get some companions from the Fates Statues before entering.
of 10: As you go in, you'll be confronted by the spirit of a dead Bhaalspawn, who'll "Introduce" your challenge.
of 10: After he's done, walk towards him, and the fight begins.
of 10: In this battle, you have to take on wave after wave of familiar monsters.
of 10: The first wave is a bunch of Kobols and Doppelgangers from the center. They're fairly easy to deal with.
of 10: The second wave consists of Gnolls from the bottom, Saluagin from the center, and Ogre Magi from the top, a bit harder, but not too bad.
of 10: The third wave is Drow, lots of Drow, mostly fighters, with a few priests and mages sprinkled in. These guys are tough, mainly because they have magical weapons and lotsa magic resistance. You'll have to take them down with mostly physical attacks.
of 10: The fourth, and obviously hardest, wave consists of the three main baddies from BG1 and 2 -- Sarevok, Bodhi and Irenicus.
of 10: Sarevok is very annoying, as is Bodhi, since she level drains you. I'd advise going after Bodhi first, then Sarevok, and leaving Irenicus for last, since he's actually next to harmless.
of 10: Once you've killed them, your main character will gain the Pocket Plane ability, allowing you to return to this place at will.
