About the Game
Beyond Good & Evil tells the story of Jade, a photographer, playing her vital role in the war between Hillys and the DomZ. This game is an action adventure, so the main focus is on fighting your enemies. Nevertheless it is always the WRONG decision to storm into a room and beat on everything you see. Besides of keeping alive yourself, you often have to take care about your partner. Also many enemies can't be beaten in a direct fight, but you need a special trick to get rid of them.
Whenever you see a save terminal (MDisk reader), save your game. Although you only have 5 slots there is nothing like a wrong decision you can take in the game, so the only reason for saving on a different slot is that you want to replay a fight to see if you can do it using less healing/repair items or find some more animals, but if you die the game decides where you reenter, so saving often can save you a lot of trouble. It's also a good idea to keep the save game when you enter a new stage, as some animals can only be photographed in special caves, and if you kill them before taking a photo, you missed the chance.
You can always repeat some caves, but besides of respawning enemies and material crystals there's not much reason for it. If you're short on a few credits to buy a desperate needed pearl this might be a solution, but most of the time it's easier to proceed with the story and make money by photographing animals.
