Bioshock Hints

How can I get the Securis door open?

  • 1 of 9: Look just to the left of it for the door control.
  • 2 of 9: Unfortunately, it seems to be fizzled. Neither using it nor bashing it with the wrench will help.
  • 3 of 9: It's shorted out, so maybe a jolt of electricity applied to it will open the door.
  • 4 of 9: Have you explored around upstairs yet?
  • 5 of 9: Check out that Gatherer's Garden machine up there.
  • 6 of 9: It's damaged beyond repair, but it does have a spare Electro Bolt plasmid power-up that you can take.
  • 7 of 9: Using the power-up will have a few negative side effects, so just wait them out.
  • 8 of 9: When you recover, you'll find that you have the Electro Bolt plasmid out and ready to zap something with.
  • 9 of 9: So go up to that troublesome door control and zap it. (To avoid wasting EVE, make sure the words "door control" are displayed when you fire.)
