Hacked Bot Notes
1 of 6: The game doesn't let you have more than two friendly bots activated at once.
2 of 6: So after you zap and hack one, immediately use the Use key on it to deactivate it.
3 of 6: Then repeat the zap-n-hack process with the next bot that responds to the alarm.
4 of 6: You can zap and hack several bots before an alarm terminates, though note that this means doing a lot of hacking minigames (or using lots of automatic hack tools and/or money) unless you've gotten the fourth security bot research bonus. (See the Research Tips.)
5 of 6: After the alarm is over, deal with the security camera, then activate two of your bots and continue onward. When they're destroyed by enemies, run back and activate two more.
6 of 6: Note that deactivated bots will start clicking, and will eventually explode if you leave them deactivated for too long. Fortunately, it takes several minutes for that to happen, and you can always "reset" their timer by reactivating them.
