Bioshock Hints

Splicer and Turret Combat Tips

  • 1 of 14: First of all, you may want to deactivate your security bot if it's still with you so it won't get uselessly shot up by the turrets.
  • 2 of 14: Get your Electro Bolt ready, then go through the doors.
  • 3 of 14: The first turret is in the room ahead of you, on the other side of the wall.
  • 4 of 14: Go left around the wall and hit the turret with an Electro Bolt before it can fully activate and start shooting you.
  • 5 of 14: Then run up to it and hack it so it'll be friendly to you and hostile to the splicers.
  • 6 of 14: Switch to your pistol and retreat back a bit, since a splicer will walk into view over to the right and start fighting the turret.
  • 7 of 14: Stand to where you can see a health station on a wall a ways to the west, since the splicer will probably run for it when she gets damaged. If so, shoot her with the pistol before she can heal up.
  • 8 of 14: The second turret is a bit north of the first one, in a small supply room with a big hole in one wall.
  • 9 of 14: Run over to that turret and repeat the process of shorting it out and hacking it.
  • 10 of 14: After it's hacked, run back to where you left your security bot and reactivate it. Hopefully, it won't have gotten too lonely and exploded yet.
  • 11 of 14: Return to the turret area and help them shoot down any splicers that appear.
  • 12 of 14: When they stop appearing, go out and see if you can find any more to lead back to either one of your hacked turrets. (Or just let your security bot shoot them up.)
  • 13 of 14: After you kill all the splicers around except for the special nitro splicer in the "Eternal Flame" crematorium area (covered in separate hints), you can relax and start looting the place.
  • 14 of 14: However, note that new splicers will appear (usually one at a time) every once in a while, so be ready for them.
