General Splicer Attack Tips

  • 1 of 9: The splicers will usually start out by attacking your little sister. (They sure picked a lousy time to stop being invulnerable!)
  • 2 of 9: A little sister can't survive many hits, so quickly attack the splicers to get them to switch their focus to you.
  • 3 of 9: It would help if you walked around with Winter Blast or Electro Bolt out, ready to quickly zap and head-shot splicers as they appear.
  • 4 of 9: However, the best (and easiest) way is to use the wrench all the time. If you have all the right tonics installed (see the Weapon Tips), your wrench should score one-hit kills on every splicer you hit with it.
  • 5 of 9: If your little sister is killed, you can always summon another one by finding the nearest vent and banging on it like you did the first time.
  • 6 of 9: Actually, not just any vent will do. You have to find the one that's glowing. There may be others nearby that won't work.
  • 7 of 9: However, before you do that, you should take the opportunity to explore around and kill off any other splicers in your area.
  • 8 of 9: Also, hack any security devices you come across. They won't be hostile to you now that you're a big daddy, but they won't be much help against the splicers unless you hack them. (And unhacked turrets will usually shoot at your little sister if you give them a chance to.)
  • 9 of 9: Clear the area all the way up to the next door you need a little sister to open for you, then go summon one.
