Bioshock Hints

Fontaine-Defeating Summary

  • 1 of 12: After you enter Fontaine's area, get out the chemical thrower and make sure it's set to electric gel and reloaded.
  • 2 of 12: Go up to Fontaine and drain him of his first portion of ADAM.
  • 3 of 12: As soon as you regain control, quickly fry Fontaine with the electric gel before he can move or attack.
  • 4 of 12: When he returns to his machine, reload the chemical thrower as you run toward him.
  • 5 of 12: Drain him of more ADAM, then start frying him with electric gel again.
  • 6 of 12: After you do him some damage, quickly run for the bot shutdown panel and use it to deactivate the security bot that Fontaine activates.
  • 7 of 12: Finish frying Fontaine, then reload and go drain him of ADAM again.
  • 8 of 12: NOTE: If you think you have time, you might want to hack the deactivated security bot before draining Fontaine.
  • 9 of 12: When he emerges in his electric form, start frying him right away, perhaps moving around a little (without breaking your stream of fire) to dodge splicer attacks.
  • 10 of 12: You should be able to force Fontaine back to his machine once again before you lose much health.
  • 11 of 12: Pop a quick first aid kit as you run toward him.
  • 12 of 12: Unless the splicers manage to kill you as you approach Fontaine (which is very unlikely), you'll be able to drain him of his last portion of ADAM, after which you won't need to worry about taking any more damage.
