How can I finish off the big daddy?
1 of 17: Not at all easily, especially if you're on the highest difficulty setting.
2 of 17: The big daddy can move really fast, and will use that speed to constantly ram you and damage you. You'd better have a full supply of first aid kits to use during battle.
3 of 17: Also, having the Static Discharge power-up from the corridor in Steinman's area will help, since it'll cause the big daddy to be briefly stunned when it hits you.
4 of 17: Armor-piercing rounds are the best things to shoot him with, but they're currently only available for the pistol.
5 of 17: Go around to the nearby vending machines and buy up all their armor-piercing pistol rounds, then look around for a safe place to shoot the big daddy from.
6 of 17: One such place is in the SE corner of the main lobby, just a bit south of the door that leads back to the foyer.
7 of 17: Notice how the couches are "arranged" in that corner.
8 of 17: The end of one of them is sticking way up. If you could get up onto that end, you'd be out of the big daddy's reach.
9 of 17: To get up there, jump onto the seats of the other couch, then onto its top, and then onto the high end of the couch in the corner. These jumps are kind of tricky, and some may need to be tried several times.
10 of 17: Once you're up in your safe corner, wait for the big daddy to wander into view, then start shooting it.
11 of 17: If you've still got your security bot from Steinman's area, it'll also start shooting the big daddy, which will probably concentrate on fighting the bot. While it does, get in a bunch of free shots of your own.
12 of 17: If you don't have a bot (or it gets destroyed), the big daddy will realize that you're out of its reach, and will immediately run for cover.
13 of 17: To lure it back out, you'll have to drop back down onto the top of the lower couch. The problem with that is that the big daddy can hit you there.
14 of 17: So drop down long enough to get the big daddy to run into view, then quickly Electro-Bolt it and shoot it a few times, then turn and jump back up into the safe corner. (Then shoot it in the back as it runs for cover.)
15 of 17: It'll take a lot of pistol and machine gun rounds to finish the big daddy off, but you should be able to without taking much if any injury.
16 of 17: As soon as the big daddy goes down, harvest or rescue the little sister, then loot the big daddy for money.
17 of 17: An alternative way is to lead the big daddy all the way to the crematorium's upper floor, then jump over the railing and onto the machine that's near that floor's NW end. You can maneuver around within the railing to avoid the big daddy's attacks and shoot it fairly easily. (Though you'll still have the problem of it running for cover part of the time.)
