Bioshock Hints
Security Bot Research Bonanza
1 of 11: You'll first need to get lots of film, so come back to these hints right after you clear out the starting room in the Jet Postal area, which is just a little ways ahead.
2 of 11: Pick up all the loose film in Jet Postal, then hack its vending machine and buy some more.
3 of 11: Once you have plenty of film, return to this security camera and let it see you and sound an alarm.
4 of 11: Look for the security bots to come through the nearby door one at a time.
5 of 11: Have your camera out so you can snap three quick close-up shots of a bot before switching to the shotgun and blowing it away.
6 of 11: Or if you have plenty of EVE hypos, you could zap a bot with Electro Bolt or Winter Blast, get your three pics, then either hack it or destroy it before it recovers.
7 of 11: When the next bot shows up, repeat this process on it. It's a different bot, so you'll be able to get three more good photos of it.
8 of 11: After the security alarm times out, go stand in front of the camera to get another one started.
9 of 11: Keep this up until you have all five of the security bot research bonuses -- or at least the fourth one, which allows you to automatically hack security bots without having to do the hacking minigame.
10 of 11: To keep from using up lots of ammo and first aid kits during this process, let a bot kill you after you get all the photos you can of it. You'll appear in the nearby Vita-Chamber, and can drop back down to the camera's room and get another security alarm started. Photograph the next bot, let it kill you, and so on.
11 of 11: You could do this same process with any security camera, but it's most convenient to do it with one (like this one) that's near a Vita-Chamber so you can take advantage of the above tip without having to do a lot of traveling every time you get killed.
