Southern Mall Tips

  • 1 of 20: This is the area that starts just south of the security camera and vending machine in the lower atrium.
  • 2 of 20: Move through one of the mall's two large doorways slowly, then retreat back to your hacked camera when several splicers run in and start fighting each other.
  • 3 of 20: After they're all dead, go through a doorway and find the napalm canister on a chair near the large burning Sander Cohen sign.
  • 4 of 20: Then check out the nearby "dames" and "gents" bathroom areas.
  • 5 of 20: In the dames area, you'll have to quickly zap and hack or destroy a turret before you can claim the liquid nitro ammo and other items lying about. The gents' room doesn't have any hazards, but it also has no loot except on one corpse.
  • 6 of 20: Head down the hall to find a Gene Bank machine on the wall near the entry doors to the "Sophia.Salon" shop.
  • 7 of 20: Turn left as you enter the shop to find a large canvas on the wall.
  • 8 of 20: Bash it with the wrench to knock it aside, then hack the safe it was covering up.
  • 9 of 20: Look for a register on the nearby counter, plus some film and a first aid kit on some shelves.
  • 10 of 20: The shop's back room area just has some cash and snacks on a desk, plus a totally insane audio diary that Cohen made.
  • 11 of 20: Leave the shop and run for the security camera in the nearby cocktail lounge. You'll want to hack it before some nearby splicers see you and attack.
  • 12 of 20: Go behind the lounge's counter and raid the safe, then check the SW corner of the area for an EVE hypo and a corpse to raid.
  • 13 of 20: At the nearby "Gardner Delux Modern" shop, you can break the left window to get at some machine gun ammo, but doing so will sound an alarm and get some bots after you. (Note that if bots summoned by your hacked camera shoot out one of the windows while firing at splicers, the alarm will sound, and you will still be targeted.)
  • 14 of 20: Look in between the shop's malfunctioning doors to loot a corpse and pull in a first aid kit with Telekinesis. (It's on the floor a ways back, to the left of the large overturned lamp.)
  • 15 of 20: All that's left now are the ammo vending machine and the "Le Marquis D'Epoque" shop.
  • 16 of 20: When you go through the shop's front door, walk straight ahead toward the large pillar that's right in front of you.
  • 17 of 20: There's a gun turret on the other side of that pillar, and you'll want to zap and hack it before doing anything else.
  • 18 of 20: All that's in the entry area is a lot of booze and a fallen-over cash register, so go down either set of stairs to pass a U-Invent machine and reach the lower floor.
  • 19 of 20: Use the "Power to the People" weapon upgrade machine down there, then look for some pistol ammo both on and next to the nearby corpse.
  • 20 of 20: Go back upstairs and help your turret deal with any splicers who come into the shop. If there are any more lingering around outside, lead them to your turret or your hacked camera.
