Abandoned Apartment #2 Tips

  • 1 of 13: This is the east apartment on the third floor.
  • 2 of 13: When you enter, a nitro splicer will drop an explosive down through the ceiling, but he won't come after you yet.
  • 3 of 13: TIP: If you have the pistol ready (with antipersonnel rounds, preferably), you can probably shoot both splicers through the ceiling hole a time or two before they run out of view.
  • 4 of 13: Use the slanty table to help you get over the barricade at the back of the first room.
  • 5 of 13: NOTE: To get back to the barricade's other side later, either jump over the chair at its right end or go upstairs and drop down through the big floor hole.
  • 6 of 13: Deal with the trap bolts past the barricade, and watch for the nitro splicer to be on the nearby stairs.
  • 7 of 13: Either play catch-and-throw with him using Telekinesis (if you have it currently), or freeze him with the chemical thrower and then shatter him.
  • 8 of 13: Or if you jumped over the trap bolts, you can lead him back through them -- he's too dumb to jump.
  • 9 of 13: Before you go upstairs, check the large eastern room to find a body and a pistol next to a major rubble pile.
  • 10 of 13: Go through the door in the NW corner to find another rubble-y room with a play-dead machine gun splicer in the back left corner.
  • 11 of 13: Kill him, then look around to find a few items, including a spare machine gun near a corpse.
  • 12 of 13: Go up the stairs to the top floor and kill the "electric pipe" splicer in the back of the area.
  • 13 of 13: Search the corpses near the splicer, then look behind the bed for a crate and a first aid kit.
