Bioshock Hints
Hold off Ryan's forces.
of 16: After Atlas radios you, check the pneumo tube to the left of the door you just closed to find some supplies.
of 16: Then run back to a spot near some hacked security devices and take cover there.
of 16: Or if there's a big daddy wandering about, you could stay near it and keep hitting approaching splicers with Enrage in hopes that they'll stupidly attack the big daddy.
of 16: If you have plenty of liquid nitro, you could take cover near a turret and freeze any splicers who come near, making them even easier for the turret to kill.
of 16: A good way to start is to crouch down behind the turret that's in the SW corner of the lab area. Either that, or crouch down in the small open space that's nearest it.
of 16: Do your best to freeze or kill enemies before they can damage you or your turret.
of 16: When that turret gets destroyed, run for the other turret and crouch down next to it.
of 16: Hopefully, you won't lose both turrets too early, and you won't have much trouble finishing off the rest of the splicers yourself.
of 16: Another strategy is to stay in the flooded area with the vending machine that's at the NW end of the labs.
of 16: You can Electro-Bolt any splicers that run into the water with you, and if you've hacked the vending machine, you can run over to it and buy more EVE hypos and first aid kits whenever you need them.
of 16: The best place to wait in that area is crouched down next to the vending machine. That way, splicers can't come up behind you, and you have instant vending machine access.
of 16: The main problem with this method is that the big daddy often comes into the water. When he does, you can't use Electro Bolt without damaging him and making him mad.
of 16: Yet another strategy is to crouch and hide between the two big machines that are directly underneath the security camera.
of 16: After using Telekinesis to move the large red cylinder out of that niche, go into it and either hold something in front of you with Telekinesis, or just wait and let the Natural Camouflage tonic (see the Research Tips) make you invisible if you have it active.
of 16: This strategy's main problem is that there will be times when a splicer or two will be somewhere out of sight, and will stay there until you come out of hiding and attack him (or at least move around a bit).
of 16: Also, once both of your turrets are destroyed, you may have to go up the stairs and lure splicers down to the water or security camera to dispose of them.
