Rumbler Combat Tips
1 of 3: One way to deal with a rumbler is to keep your distance and use Telekinesis to catch and throw back his rockets and mini-turrets. You won't be able to grab everything, so keep strafing as you do your catch-and-throw routine, and have the machine gun out so you can quickly blast any mini-turrets that get by you.
2 of 3: Another way is to use a Gene Bank machine to splice in the Freezing Drill tonic so your drill can freeze enemies. Also splice in any tonics that increase your drill's damage. Buy some drill fuel from a vending machine if you don't have a full load, then move up next to the rumbler and start continuously drilling him. Be ready to run forward whenever he knocks you back.
3 of 3: The drilling method has the advantage of keeping the rumbler from firing off any rockets or mini-turrets (at least usually), but unless he's already taken some serious damage before you begin, you'll run out of drill fuel before he's dead. When that happens, quickly back up and start using the catch-and-throw routine on him (or the machine gun loaded with armor-piercing rounds).
