Second Floor Tips

  • 1 of 11: Look on the couch to the right of the fire for a first aid kit.
  • 2 of 11: Raid the trash can that's past the couch, then stop and look ahead for a splicer to appear if you've only fought one on this floor so far.
  • 3 of 11: After killing that splicer, deactivate your bots and get out your hack tool. Look down the hall on the left (east) for an SMG turret to dart-hack.
  • 4 of 11: The stairs that lead up to the third floor are just east of the turret's hallway. You don't want to go up the stairs yet, but you do want to strafe into view at the stair bottom to let Daniel see you, then strafe out of the way of his explosive attack.
  • 5 of 11: Reactivate your bots, then look around near the entrance to the turret's hallway for the three splicers you shot from the ground floor's entry doorway. Be sure to reclaim all the spear ammo you can find. (There's also a corpse to loot in the same general area.)
  • 6 of 11: Go through the sliding doors west of the fire to enter a room with a first aid kit on a table, an EVE hypo under a ruined couch, a searchable fridge, and some anti-personnel rounds in a flaming wall hole (pull them out with Telekinesis).
  • 7 of 11: Go down the room's short hallway to find the bedroom. In it are two splicers, a box of buck, a pack of trap rivets, and a bottle of scotch. (Note that there's a third splicer in the small adjacent room that you can't enter, but he'll run off without attacking you.)
  • 8 of 11: Return to the hacked turret's hallway and look past the turret for an ashtray and a door leading to a small apartment. Before you start looking for loot, go to the bedroom and kill the splicer who's in there.
  • 9 of 11: Search the bedroom for two corpses, two beers, two money clips, an EVE hypo, and an audio diary. Leave the bedroom and look for drill fuel on some shelves, plus a corpse on a couch.
  • 10 of 11: Exit the apartment and go around the next corner to find a trash can and a first aid kit on a steamer trunk. Look next to the trunk for a pack of rivets.
  • 11 of 11: Farther down the hall is another steamer trunk. While standing near it, look over to the big ledge that's above the ground floor's entry doorway to find a box of buck to pull in with Telekinesis.
