Orphanage Tips

  • 1 of 13: Look on the counter in the entry room for .50 caliber rounds and a first aid kit, then check the wall to the right for a corpse hanging by a spear.
  • 2 of 13: Behind the counter is a desk to search, plus a spear ammo pack under the desk. There are also two file cabinets next to one end of the counter.
  • 3 of 13: Get ready to research a spider splicer, then go up the stairs. After he runs over to the right, quickly use the camera on him and start attacking. If you don't, he'll just run away.
  • 4 of 13: Go back down the stairs if you want to get the two beer bottles that were knocked down there by the splicer, then go up the stairs and search the room for two trash cans and a health station to hack.
  • 5 of 13: Get the box of buck from the table in the room the splicer ran into, then look up to find some heavy rivets in the rafters that you can pull down with Telekinesis.
  • 6 of 13: Move on to a door that has two boxes of .50 caliber rounds next to it. In the huge room past it, look for two EVE hypos on beds and a steamer trunk against the north wall, then loot the wagon in the back to get an audio diary, two money clips, two rivet packs, and an auto-hack dart.
  • 7 of 13: On your way back to the room's door, see if you can get any camera research on all the spider splicers who are running around on the other side of the closed gate on the left.
  • 8 of 13: Back in the hallway, look for three new corpses to loot. One is nearby, one is sticking out of a wall hole, and the third one is on a table in the room at the other end of the hallway.
  • 9 of 13: Before you go through the doorway to the room with the stairs, use Telekinesis to pick up all the unused supplies that you might want later and drop them just past that doorway. (This is because a gate will permanently close after you go through.)
  • 10 of 13: Have the research camera out as you go toward the top of the stairs, and quickly use it on the spider splicer. If you hit him with some plasmids before he runs off, you'll get quite a few research points from him.
  • 11 of 13: As soon as he's gone, turn left and repeat the research-and-attack process on the spider splicer who's behind the gate that closed behind you when you entered the room. If you really let him have it, you should max out your spider splicer research here and get the Fountain of Youth tonic.
  • 12 of 13: Turn back to the closed gate at the top of the stairs and use the camera on the brute splicer there. Quickly hit him with plasmids before the gate opens, then finish him off with your weapons before he can hurt you much. (This may also conclude your brute splicer research and get you the Armored Shell 2 tonic.)
  • 13 of 13: In the entry room, a spider splicer will be hanging onto the wall to the left of the exit doorway. Kill him before you leave, researching him if you still need to complete your spider splicer research.
