Bioshock 2 Hints

Why is Natural Camouflage so great?

  • 1 of 6: When splicers are nearby and haven't seen you yet, or when you know some will show up soon, you can stand still and let Natural Camouflage hide you from them. They won't be able to see you unless you use a weapon or plasmid, or they walk right into you.
  • 2 of 6: You can use this to take your time lining up careful head shots on unaware splicers. This is especially effective if you use the rivet gun or speargun, and have the Headhunter tonic spliced in.
  • 3 of 6: If you have hacked security devices nearby, such as bots and turrets, you can just stand and watch invisibly as they fight nearby splicers for you.
  • 4 of 6: If you hit a red zone while hacking something and don't want to deal with the security bots, you don't have to restore a save. Instead, stand still so that Natural Camouflage will hide you from the incoming bots. That way, you can keep attempting to hack the device until you succeed without coming under fire.
  • 5 of 6: Note that pressing the Hack key to hack a hostile bot when it flies up to you doesn't cancel your camouflage, so you might want to purposely hit red zones to summon bots to hack every now and then.
  • 6 of 6: NOTE: If there's a nearby bot shutdown panel, it'd be better to run use it than to individually hack two bots -- unless you want to hit blue zones during hacking to increase their damage.
