Bioshock 2 Hints
Live Test Facility
1 of 10: Go down the stairs at the south end of the lab's lower floor to find the door that leads to the live test facility area.
2 of 10: When the door opens, you'll see two splicers ahead messing with hypnotic plants (if you visit this area before the shower area). If you immediately back up and let the door close, you can wait while the splicers fight each other, then go in and easily kill off the survivor.
3 of 10: After you go through the entry door, move forward to the railing and watch for three leadhead splicers to appear on the lower floor ahead. You can try to burn them with Incinerate! since they're near an oil spill, but it's probably easier to head-shot them with the rivet gun or speargun.
4 of 10: Deactivate your bots, then get out Electro Bolt (or Winter Blast) and head down the stairs to the left. At their bottom, turn right and run up to the rocket turret, zapping it before it can start firing at you. Quickly hack it, hitting as many blue zones as you can to make it more powerful. This is a *very* useful turret to keep around, so remember to check it periodically to see if it needs repairing.
5 of 10: After reactivating your bots, go up to the unlocked west-side door and stand there watching as a rumbler puts down a splicer ambush in the holding cell area. When that's over, go back and search the entry area for supplies.
6 of 10: Go to the back of the holding cell area, where you'll find a raised platform with an ADAM plant on it. Get it, then look around for other stuff.
7 of 10: Go back to the north side of the holding cell area and look for a side area with a torn-open floor grating that you can drop through.
8 of 10: Move up to the cell's security door, ready to dodge the houdini who will soon open it. You can't hurt him until he vanishes and appears again, which he'll probably do on the floor above, so look up to shoot him.
9 of 10: After he's dead, loot the entire cell block for supplies before you get the ADAM plant that's in the SW cell.
