Spider and Brute Splicer Research Tips
of 6: By this point, both spider and brute splicers will have started appearing randomly in Little Eden Plaza.
of 6: Their appearances are fairly rare, so you'll have to stick around for quite awhile to get them to appear. (Note that they seem to appear more often on higher difficulty levels.)
of 6: The brutes usually appear at the north end of the plaza, on the ground floor near the health station. Spider splicers will mostly appear on the upper walkway at the south end of the plaza. (Look for them crawling around on the ceiling.)
of 6: Spider splicers can also appear in the Pink Pearl, on the south side of the second floor. You can easily spot them from the ground floor's entry doorway.
of 6: While waiting for them to appear, move around the plaza and its two side areas (the Mermaid Lounge and the Pink Pearl). I don't know if that helps to encourage random splicer spawning, but it can't hurt. Also, you'll have plenty of time to look through all the leftover supplies and bodies-turned-lockboxes that you left behind before.
of 6: Note that you can usually hear the splicers before you see them. Learn to recognize the specific voice patterns and sayings of the spiders and brutes so you'll know when one is nearby. (The spiders sound high-pitched and whiny, and the brutes sound brutishly British.)
