Bioshock 2 Hints
Kill the Big Daddy.
1 of 9: There's a little sister in the lounge, but you'll have to kill her big daddy guardian before you can take his place.
2 of 9: Look around near the lounge's entrance to find a security bot to hack (if you have less than two with you) and some trap rivets on a counter.
3 of 9: Set a row of several trap rivets against the counter, then find the health station on the east wall and hack it.
4 of 9: Locate the two explosive barrels in the lounge's northern section. One is near the NE corner, and the other is a ways south of it, next to the counter.
5 of 9: Use Telekinesis to hurl both barrels at the big daddy, then switch to the machine gun and start pounding him with .50 caliber rounds.
6 of 9: Your security bots will distract him at first, so take advantage of the opportunity to get fairly close to him and shoot his health way down.
7 of 9: If your aim is good, you should be able to kill him before (or right after) both of your bots are destroyed. If not, lead him through your trap rivets, then keep using Electro Bolt and the machine gun while dodging his attacks until he goes down.
8 of 9: His attacks can kill you very quickly, so you'll need to either maneuver so you can stay near the health station and heal up at it, or keep using first aid kits. (Or let him kill you if the Vita-Chambers option isn't disabled.)
9 of 9: Or you might find it more effective to retreat out of the lounge and maneuver around in other areas. If you get lucky, the big daddy will get stuck in one spot and be unable to charge you.
