Bioshock 2 Hints
Is there a way to summon friendly bots without messing with alarms?
1 of 4: Once you get the Security Command 2 plasmid, you can use its charge-up feature to call a friendly security bot to you at any time (though note that doing so will cost a lot of EVE).
2 of 4: This removes the need to use the security camera trick or the red-zone hacking trick to get more bots, provided you have enough EVE to spare. If not, look for nearby unhacked items to sound an alarm with (or vending machines to buy EVE hypos from).
3 of 4: Security Command 3 is also a very good plasmid to get, since its charge-up feature will call in a friendly elite security bot, which is much tougher than the regular kind.
4 of 4: NOTE: You can use the plasmid twice in a row to call up two security bots, but doing so would probably require the use of two EVE hypos unless you do something in between summonings that restores a bit of EVE (like eating snack items or standing in water with the Fountain of Youth tonic spliced in).
