Buried in Time: The Journeyman Project 2 Hints

I've gotten through the God of War's door, but I can't reach his temple.

  • 1 of 20: The jaws that are to the left and right of the entrance are the key to opening the first door that you will encounter.  (Note that left and right mean the directions that were left and right when you first got through the doorway to this area.)
  • 2 of 20: When you open the one on the left, the door will open, and opening the one on the right will stop the spears that are flying across the doorway.
  • 3 of 20: You'll need to get both of the jaws to stay open to get through the door.
  • 4 of 20: Put something in them that might be found as the result of war (and death).
  • 5 of 20: You can get two skulls from skeletons underneath the temple -- one was immediately in front of you as you entered the tunnels, and the other is just below the right-hand set of jaws.
  • 6 of 20: Put both skulls in the jaws before they close, and you can move in a bit further.
  • 7 of 20: You still have to get past the second set of spears.
  • 8 of 20: The left of the two jaws further down the hallway will stop the spears.
  • 9 of 20: But to stop the spears permanently, you're going to have to find a way of keeping the jaw open a bit longer.
  • 10 of 20: The answer here is really just a bit of juggling.
  • 11 of 20: You'll have to take one of the two skulls out from the entrance.
  • 12 of 20: Take the left skull at the entrance, and if you're quick enough, you can run through the door before it closes.  Don't worry; you'll be able to open the door later.
  • 13 of 20: Now, you can get past the second set of spears.  You'll find another skull at the end of this hallway, which you can put in the right jaws -- and open the door back out to the entrance.
  • 14 of 20: What you need to do now is find the set of jaws that, when held open, will let you get through the door at the very end of the hallway.
  • 15 of 20: The left jaws at the entrance will do that.
  • 16 of 20: You're going to have to take a skull out of one of the jaws, though.
  • 17 of 20: You can temporarily spare the one stopping the second set of spears (the left jaws in the second set).  Take that skull, and move it to the left jaws at the entrance.
  • 18 of 20: Now that the door to the entrance is being held open by the jaws in the first set, you don't need to keep it open with the jaws in the second set.
  • 19 of 20: Take the skull from the right jaws in the second set, and move it to the left jaws to stop the second group of spears again.
  • 20 of 20: Finally, after all that work, you can get through the door at the end of the hallway and reach the temple.
