Black Mirror II Hints

How can I solve this puzzle?

  • 1 of 7: It's a standard sliding-tile "mosaic" type of puzzle, where your goal is to rearrange the tiles to form a picture.
  • 2 of 7: As with the first Black Mirror game's sliding tile puzzle, this one is randomized, so no exact step-by-step solution is possible.
  • 3 of 7: Note that you can re-randomize the puzzle by pressing ESC to exit the puzzle view, then clicking on it to bring it up again.
  • 4 of 7: At least this puzzle is smaller and simpler than the one in the first Black Mirror game. It's a picture of a church, and the empty square needs to end up in the top right corner.
  • 5 of 7: It can still be a bit of a pain if you don't know where all of the similar-looking pieces go, so check the graphic of the solved puzzle below if you need to.
  • 6 of 7: One strategy that worked consistently for me was to get the first two pieces on the bottom row in place, then the other two pieces of the left column, then the other two pieces of the second-from-left column, then the other two bottom row pieces, and then the last three pieces.
  • 7 of 7: If it gets to be too much, watch for the little "automatic completion" lever to appear near the bottom right corner of the screen. It may take a long time to do so, though. (Note that it never will if you're playing in normal mode. See the General Tips.)
