Black Mirror II Hints

How does this sliding tile puzzle work?

  • 1 of 6: Quite a bit differently than the one you did back in Part I. It had you rearrange tiles to form a picture. This one has you rearrange tiles so that each row and column has the correct number of blue and gold lion heads in it.
  • 2 of 6: Look above the columns to see blue marks that indicate how many blue lion heads go in each column. There are also gold marks to the left of each row to show how many gold lion heads go in that row.
  • 3 of 6: There's an X scratched into the wood on the bottom right space, indicating that it's the one that needs to end up empty in the puzzle's solved state.
  • 4 of 6: Once you know all of that, you can set up an elimination-style logic puzzle board to figure out exactly which spaces need to have blue lion heads, and which spaces need to have gold lion heads. See below for one way to work it out.
  • 5 of 6: After you work out one of the two possible solution boards, use standard sliding-tile puzzle strategies to enter that solution on the in-game board.
  • 6 of 6: TIP: Do the top row first, followed by the first column. Then finish the second row, and then the second column. It'll then be easy to finish the puzzle.
