Black Mirror II Hints

Exactly how does the print-making process work?

  • 1 of 8: Start by using the enlarger.
  • 2 of 8: Click on it to get it to start working, then watch the tiny clock that's to the left of it.
  • 3 of 8: You'll want the enlarger working for exactly 5 seconds. If you can't see the tiny numbers on the clock, count out five clicking sounds.
  • 4 of 8: After five seconds, click on the enlarger to shut it off and take the exposed sheet of photo paper.
  • 5 of 8: Next, use the exposed sheet with the developer dish to place it in the developer solution.
  • 6 of 8: Watch as the photo slowly fades in on the sheet. Click to remove it when it's clearly visible, before it can darken too much.
  • 7 of 8: That takes about 12 seconds, so time that out in your head (or use a stopwatch, or whatever).
  • 8 of 8: Put the developed picture in the water dish to learn whether or not it's acceptable. If not, you'll need to put another sheet of photo paper on the enlarger and try again until you get your timing right.
