How can I get the grating out of the way?
1 of 9: You'll need to use force to break it loose so Darren can raise it up.
2 of 9: That window grille looks good and strong. What if the grating were tied to the grille?
3 of 9: Look around the back yard for some rope.
4 of 9: Over on the left side, between a barrel and a spin dryer, is some tow rope. Click on it twice to take it.
5 of 9: Use it on the grating to get the grating tied firmly to the grille. Now to exert some force on the rope to pull the grating loose.
6 of 9: The grille isn't movable, so the only way to pull the grating loose is to forcibly twist the rope around something to pull it tighter. (Notice the loop that Darren made in the center of it.) Since the grille is less likely to come loose than the grating, doing that should loosen the grating.
7 of 9: To do the rope-twisting, you'll need a strong metal bar.
8 of 9: You can find one on the harbor promenade, near the end of the walkway that's next to the souvenir shop. (It's been there since the start of the game, so you may have already picked it up.)
9 of 9: Return to the back yard and use the metal bar on the rope's loop. That'll loosen the grating enough that Darren can raise it.
