Black Mirror II Hints
How can I use the available items to burn off the bonds?
of 12: First, you'll need to get some kerosene out of that bottle.
of 12: You're in no position to open the bottle normally, so you'll need to break it open.
of 12: For lack of a better bottle buster, use the glass shard.
of 12: Pick it up if you don't have it already, then use it on the kerosene bottle to break it and create a pool of kerosene on the floor. (Note that you can't do this unless you've already moved the kerosene bottle into the light cast on the floor by the window.)
of 12: Next, pick up the old rag and use it on the kerosene pool to get it soaked.
of 12: Notice that Darren leaves the rag on the floor within the light coming from the window, and won't pick it back up.
of 12: This has to do with how you're going to start the rag burning. How might you use the window's light to accomplish that?
of 12: The same way little kids use sunlight to burn ants and baseball cards, that's how.
of 12: You don't have a magnifying glass, but you do have that glass shard.
of 12: Pick it back up and use it on the window to get the fire started.
of 12: You can't pick up the rag and burn the bonds with it, but you can use the fire to start another item burning.
of 12: Use the wooden strip on the burning rag to light it, then use it on your bonds in inventory to burn them off.
