How can I get someone lowered in the cage?

  • 1 of 10: Thinking about it, you'll realize that you need one of your two characters in the cage, with the other one at the water pump's controls in the cellar.
  • 2 of 10: Since that's a bit too far apart to yell instructions back and forth, you'll need to rig up a way for your characters to communicate non-verbally once they're both in position.
  • 3 of 10: Throwing items back and forth would be highly inaccurate, but what if a rope was set up to be pulled as a signal?
  • 4 of 10: To find some rope, go up the stairs in the hall and into the room at the end of the passage.
  • 5 of 10: Examine the window on the left side of the room to get some rope.
  • 6 of 10: Throwing it down from above would be easier than throwing it up from below, so go to the cellar.
  • 7 of 10: Use the rope on the well's hotspot to get it tied and thrown down the well, then return to the sewer area.
  • 8 of 10: Fortunately, the rope goes straight down into the cage, which means that someone in the cage could pull on the rope without having to leave the cage.
  • 9 of 10: Talk to Valentina about the rope to inform her of your rope-pulling plan, then switch control to her and get her back to the cellar.
  • 10 of 10: You can then switch back to Adrian, click on the cage to get him inside it, and then click on the rope to get him lowered into the water.
