Black Mirror III Hints

How can I open the money-hiding gimmick?

  • 1 of 12: Examine the marble plinth that's underneath the horse sculpture to find seven tiny holes in the sculpture's base.
  • 2 of 12: The first thing you need to do is find something that'll fit into those tiny holes.
  • 3 of 12: Toothpicks would probably work. Look around for some of those.
  • 4 of 12: Return to the tea room and get the marble plinth close-up again, then try using the toothpicks on the sculpture's holes.
  • 5 of 12: Darren verifies that they'll fit in the holes, but notes that there's more to the gimmick than just shoving toothpicks into the holes.
  • 6 of 12: Look near the holes for a suspicious spot.
  • 7 of 12: Examine it, then use it to see that it acts like a button. However, that still doesn't get the horse sculpture to slide aside.
  • 8 of 12: Check the notebook in inventory again to see that Henry says the key is hidden "at old Dergham Gordon."
  • 9 of 12: That probably refers to an old statue or painting of Dergham Gordon.
  • 10 of 12: Click to examine Dergham Gordon's painting up close, then check it for hotspots. (Use the SPACEBAR if you need to.)
  • 11 of 12: Return to the tea room and get the marble plinth close-up view again, then try your key on the holes.
  • 12 of 12: It fits, so press the "suspicious spot" button to move the horse sculpture aside and reveal the cash.
